NewsMiddlesbrough FC & Their Fans Aid The Appeal! As part of the build up for the 2007/08 season, Hibernian FC played English Premiership team Middlesbrough at Easter Road in a pre-season friendly.Babs MacDonald contacted the club to see if they would consider donating anything to the Dnipro Appeal Charity. They kindly presented several items for us to use to raise funds. They were brought up on the team coach by their head of PR. On the same day Babs spoke to some Middlesbrough fans at Tamsons Bar, who put her in touch their fans website. With the help of one of their web admin team, she was able to organise an online auction for the merchandise we had received from their club, and set it up via their website. The fans were more than happy to get involved, as they remembered when their club had played Dnipro a few seasons ago. We now say a big thank you to all involved as they raised £55 for the Dnipro Appeal via the auction! |
